I've seen ONE CES 2009 DTS Blu-Ray Demo Disc and nothing from Dolby yet. Is anyone at the show that's seen these yet?

I still use the CES 2008 Dolby disc (red case version) to demo lossless audio and wouldn't mind snagging this year's Blu-Ray Disc.

Anyone seen what's on either DTS's or Dolby's Disc this year? God forbid THX puts out a Blu-Ray Demo disc. (but I'd still be happy to have one)

I know they pop up in the classified section every so often.

I wonder how they differ from the standard retail demo discs. I have both Dolby (The Sound of High Definition) and DTS (2008 High Definition Audio Demonstration Disc) retail demos and wasn't aware that they differed. Needless to say I'll get my friend there to pick me up a couple. They're pretty handy for demoing for friends and family.

Neither Dolby nor DTS had new discs at CES this year.

DTS said theirs would be out in a few months.

Dolby said they may or may not do a new disc this year.

Seems like a pissy attitude on Dolby's part.

With the economy hurting, they (Dolby) better do everythig in their power to promote their products/technology. Demo discs seem like the cheapest and smartest way to do that...

Well I guess that just means I have some extra money to buy movies I want rather than on demo disc blind buys.

Thanks for the info!
