Last year we had a GREAT time seeing Peter Frampton play at the Gibson tent. Did I mention the FREE beers were SO COLD you needed mittens to hold onto them, and that we were 10' away from Frampton ? He gave an excellent performance !

I tried to Google, but came up empty. Anyone know the acts Gibson has lined up this year ?

Ironically I was Googling for the same information when I stumbled on to this post. The Gibson website has a press release about CES but nothing about who might perform. It did say they would be showcasing new production runs of Joan Jett Signature Melody Maker and the Nikki Sixx bass. They also said they would be debuting a new Jeff Beck Les-Paul Guitar so its possible we might see somebody from that group. I go every year and there have been some good shows.

I am going to see Zappa plays Zappa the day before I leave for CES. Anything else will be a letdown. I will be complete on Tuesday night. Zappa rules!

Is this a clone band or one of his sons?

I was looking for other Rock & Roll or Blues shows during CES and there is a free show Friday & Saturday at the House of Blues Courtyard starting at around 10 or 11PM by an artist named Chris Tofield. House of Blues is at Mandalay Bay. If anybody has tips to other R&R/Blues shows or good places to listen to live music in Vegas, please post it. Sometimes you can find a decent band at the big casino lounges but its always hit and miss. I'd rather go somewhere based on somebodies referral.
