Hi all,

OK, so it seems that it is not going to be possible to get ffdshow working with MCE in the near future.

So, does anyone want to see if they can get Zoomplayer launching from within MCE or better yet from My DVD Collection?

Now, before you say just add it to other programs menu, note that while this will bring up ZP, it will not return focus to MCE (it stays minimized).

Then we should be able to map the remote to keys in Zoomplayer (yes?) and have a nice integrated MCE/ZP media center.

Does anyone think they can do it?

Yeah, I used that until the 2005 version came out. I sue video_ts directories rather than isos. It doesn't work unless you do the whole iso thing. I asked whether the author would be intersted in updating for 2005 version, but there was no response.

LOL. I remember...

I don't want to have to put empty isos in every directory. That was originally put in becuase the older version of My DVD Collection only played isos. No that it plays ifo/vobs directly, it would be great if that app would be upgraded.

The release notes for the new zoomplayer beta seem to indicate it is better set up to create Key files now for remotes and MM keyboards. I am going to have to download it and try tonight. Even though I now play most DVD's through MCE I still like using Zoomplayer with some movies and I would like to use my remote when I am watching in zoom.

It still blows my mind that there has not been a good HTPC skin made for zoomplayer, especially since all it has to skin is the control bar and osd. My crappy skin handles the OSD fine, but there is some strange activity on the beginning and end of the control bar.
