Would release of the 34xbr960 tend to lower the price of the 30xbr910 in stores, as buyers are getting both smaller screen and older technology? If I want the 30, should I wait? J&R already has it at discount.

I was expecting a price drop on the 910 to be imminent on the announcement of the 960.


I wouldn't push your luck for a lot longer, but...it depends on how low can it possibly go?


The 960 is not a quantum leap over the 910.

Since there is no 30" XBR in Sony's new lineup i wonder if they'll keep the current one in their lineup, or will they discontinue it along with the others and only offer the new 30HS420?

It would seem a little strange to be offerering 1st (30) and 2nd gen. (34) as current models, especially since the 34 will be closer in price to the 30 than it used to be.
