This is kind of weird. CM 4228 is supposed to be UHF only. Here in Atlanta are NBC is on channel 10 which is VHF. Weirdly enough, I can get this station using CM 4228. Pretty weird. I am thinking about adding preamp 7775, because the signal is pretty weak (on the border of bad/normal).

Most UHF antennas will do a fair job on VHF channels 9-12

Do you think that preamp would strengthen the signal a bit or should just look at VHF antenna? I watched Jay Leno yesterday and sure it looked gorgeous.

A CM 7777 pre-amp would probably improve channel 10 at the risk of ruining reception (IM distortion) on the stronger UHF stations. Since, in the long term. some of your UHF stations will probably return to the VHF band, I would reccommend adding a separate VHF only antenna. Combine the two leads using a CM 0549 UHF/VHF combiner. It is available from Warren Electronics, and maybe Stark Electronics.

Note that the CM 7775 pre-amp you mentioned is for UHF only. It actually blocks VHF (Channels 2-12).
