i just bought a dwd490 utv it has update 3.5 on it ..

after about 15 minutes being on the channel freezes up or crackels for a few seconds what would cause this problem .. i am getting 92 signal strength

i only have one lnb hooked up so i switched the line to tuner 2 it doesnt do that but tuner one still does ...

This could be a hard drive problem or tuner problem.

i was able to get ahold of thomson and there sending me another unit....they think tuner 1 is burned up thanks for your help
