Hello Folks,


I'm planning on buying a pair of Pioneer SP-BS22-LR for $125. My main purpose is to use these as computer speakers. I need to purchase an amplifier. I am not planning to add more speakers (or subwoofers) to the system. What amp would be good to use with these speakers. I'd like to keep the cost around $100 for the amp. I don't mind buying used but would prefer new.


I already started a thread earlier about this but didn't give nearly as much information as I should have. So here goes the second try.

Thanks for the suggestions. Those are what I am looking for.


Both those amps that you mentioned have max THD of 10%. Is that common in amps around this price range? Is that noticeable if I don't push the power limit of the amp?


Any chance of getting a class AB in this price range? Maybe I'm just being picky for being so cheap

I ended up buying a Denon DRA 37 receiver for $50. Thanks for your help.
