mcmelectronics.com has excellent toslink cables at low prices. I bought a couple of the 10meter extra-thick ones and couldn't be happier. If you do go with the extra-thick, be aware that they are about as thick as the average thumb.
For componentcables it depends on the quality of cable you would like to purchase. Suggest some good broadcast quality component cables. That way they will be around for a long time and will not need replacing when new tech arrives.

I have two TosLink cables from BetterCables.com and they work fine... they have metal terminations too. The old Monster TosLink cable i used to have had plastic terminations and was kinda cheesy.
Check out the AR Pro line or the Dayton line of toslink cables. Look great at very reasonable prices. I use AR for my video and sub. Dayton for my optical (DVD) connection.
