Maybe others are in this situation - no room for a home theater, have an existing CRT in a home entertainment center (Bush, large center cabinet with smaller bookcases attached, 32" CRT filling center compartment with A/V components on shelf above) in the family room. Just got an X1 and built a blackout cloth screen (80x45). I spaced the screen braces a bit wider than the center cabinet, and can just rest the top 1x4 of the screen on the top of the center cabinet. The X1 goes on a 6' shelf at the rear of the room. The screen is easily removable for daytime viewing of the CRT. The big surprise was that the IR remotes seem to work just fine through the blackout cloth!
