Hey -

All I want to do is capture video stored on my TiVo the PC for later authoring to DVD. Is there a cheap capture card (like the $55 Leadtek TV2000 card?) that will let me do this? Video quality is already shot because of the TiVo encoding, so I don't need the Happauge 250 ($150) for really high quality. As long as I can save in MPEG format, so I can convert it to DVD, I will be happy.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Today may be the last day to get a win-tv 250 at Compusa for 99 after rebates. Captures in mpeg2 format and also works with the New Sage software.

Is saving in MPEG2 that much better than MPEG1? I know that video for DVD has to be converted to 2 (IIRC), so it would save time, but I don't anticipate doing that much capture.

Thanks for suggestions. The Leadtek still seems a front runner, as it gets pretty good user reviews...
