Its a rental home, and though I could pull it off, I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas? the room is 10x12x10, I'd like to cover every wall floor to ceiling. I can sew so making a pocket isn't an issue. I saw a place locally that had some decent black fabric for 1.57 a yard, figure I would need about 36+or minus a few to complete the whole room. I'd like them to be thick enough so that the white walls don't show through, light control is ok, I have one window that I used a room darkening shade on, then I built a frame and backing that slides into the window opening, but its not very sightly so covering everything up wall to wall would add some appeal and give it a sense of a real theater.

No pics, but I used some cheap black sheets from walmart for a temp solution. Got them on sale for 5 bucks for a flat king sheet. Dry wall doesn't show but I don't think they would work for windows...

Go to Walmart and get a roll of black felt fabric. Then take some push pins and take it to the wall.


Here is a pic of my old apartment. I did it to the wall behind my screen. The walls were shiny, wood paneling.
