Yes, but you will need some kind of minimal subscription to DirecTV.


Check open boxes at your local electronics outlets or get one off of eBay.

The DTC100 may be the cheapes, if you can take RGB. If you take component get the cheapest one you can find. The most common are Toshiba's or Panasonics. Used most run around $400.00-$450.00.

The Ultimate Electronics nearest me in Bridgeton, MO, has brand new Panasonics for $499.


If there's a UE in your area it wouldn't hurt to check there....

You can get some really great open box specials at Best Buy or Circuit City.

I'm fairly certain that there are no cards (except maybe in use for the Direct TV hackers) that will allow you to receive direct tv on your computer, let alone in high def.


Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
