I just moved here in S. Florida and I'm looking to somehow teach Comcast a lesson and go with Sat. I can get the basic D* for like $34 and add the HD package for $11. But the hardward is expensive.
How can I do this on my own or provide my own equipment and labor? Is this going to be something tough to install and can I get better equipment from Solid Signal or Ebay?
I really don't care about locals because I get those on my HD ant. and I can fall back on that even when I lose Sat. signal.
I know a little about HD video and sound but nothing about Sat.
