Cheapest way to do 4.0.4 ?

Hey,

I'm moving into a new place, where I can finally have height channels. My current receiver is an antiquated Denon 3805, and I'd like to get something newer.

I'm currently running 5.0, with full-range L/R and backs, and want to go phantom center on the front channels, maybe with added heights, so something like a 4.0.4.

I'm also looking for something that'd deal well with longer latency on the L/R fronts (I'm using actives with around 90ms of latency).

So, could something reasonably entry-level (STR-DN1080, maybe ?) be used for that, or would I need something a bit higher-end like a T758 ?

Sony STR-DN1080 can't do 4 Atmos speakers, only 2. You need a 9 channel receiver for what you want.

Cheapest would probably be Onkyo RZ830, RZ730 or RZ630 or Pioneer LX-503 and LX-303.

If you want another Denon get the x4400, x4500 or new x3600.
