Hi all, I have a recent problem with my Samsung DLP. It is an HLN4365w model. It has been perfect from the day I bought it about 5 or 6 years ago until today. Still on original bulb.

When I power on it blinks on the screen "Check fan #1" and will not let me change video sources or do anything. Picture displays fine.

The larger fan in the back that you can see through the grate is twitching.

The fan looks like this:

If I lightly tap the back of TV or move it just so it starts spinning again and its fine. IT has done this twice already this weekend. I think I'm going to have to replace it.

1)Is this safe to do? The back cover warns of shocks and not to go back there unless you are a technician. Should I unplug the TV when removing cover, will this even prevent a shock?

2)I hear there are 2 or more fans. This picture confuses me:

He seems to refer to my problem fan as fan 2 in his picture, but the error says fan 1.

Has anyone done this?

Help please!

Thanks
