checking bulb hours in samsung hlr5067

HI I just bought a hlr-5067 from best buy. It was their open box floor model. They have a special right now for 20% off of any open box tv's so I was able to pick it up at a rather good price of $1300. They offered an extended warranty for the set for an additional $400, which covers bulb replacement and I'm trying to decide if it is worth it. Is there a way of checking how many hours are currently on the bulb? I tried searching the forums and online but havent been able to come across anything. Thanks alot for any help.
