This morning I lost all of Channel 5 about 6:30 am. I checked again at around 8 am and it was still out. Do others have the same problem, or is it at my end?

5-1 is working as of 9:11 am and it's WMAQ not WBBM which is 2-1. A question like this belongs in the HD Local Info and Reception thread.

Do you mean NBC 5 (WMAQ)? Their channel remapped to 29 last night. Looks like they are back to 5-1 this morning though.

Try remapping your digital channels. I had the same problem and found that where NBC Chicago used to map to 5.1, it is now 29.1

I did an add for 29-1 this afternoon and it's remapping correctly back to 5-1.

What I did was select 29 on the remote and it remapped automatically. Does anyone know why you need to do that? Why does it loose the mapping?
