hi,

looking for help to find a decendt vga out capable dvd player that is all region.


one is the international elite player

both around 150.00


anyone know the scoop on how these two stack up?


or have a better suggestion? thanks

Don't know anything about those two players, but I have the Yamakawa DVD-288K/VGA that through component puts out a great picture for the price, but I have not tried the VGA output. I paid less than $70 from www.yamakawadirect.com. I think it was recently replaced by the DVD-290 and I don't know anything about that unit. I have the Yamakawa 288 and use the VGA out. I have been very pleased with the image, though I've only had the player a short while. It is also region free (or, more accurately, can be made so) as requested. The 290 does not have the VGA out, so I suggest if you're interested in the 288 you move quickly. Great deal for the $$.
