Choosing screen.
First of all, I want to thank the members and founders of this site. I can't even begin to describe how much the site has been useful in my HT research.
Before starting this thread, I have read others but every room is unique and there is no universal answer for all seeking advice. I have decided to go with the AE 700. Based on my research, a gray screen is ideal for this projector. However, they are pretty expensive. For example I found a 105" matte white, 1.5 gain screen for $150. A gray scree of about the same size is going for 300 7 up. There is no real way to measure this but I would say my room is mediocre to good "light control" environment. As a rookie, I'm not allowed to post links so I have to use your web space. I didn't want to post 5 stupid (6 including this one) posts just so I can post links to my album.
After looking at the photos, do you think that a white screen would be sufficient for my room? It's 30 x 15 ft. BTW, the wall that I plan projecting onto is quite rough so a screen would be needed immediately. Thank You!
