I would like to improve my sound experience buying an ampli/reveiver. Now I am using the thx creative loudspeakers mod 550 with a terratec 7.1 sound card.

I would like to buy a Yamaha rx-v650 receiver with Mission loudspeakers mod m34/m33/m3ac/m3as.

What do you think about them? I am wondering whether buying them I would improve my sound experience.

Any ideas or suggestions? Other similar receivers or loudspeakers?

I don't have direct experience with this combo, but FWIW, the smooth sound of the Missions ought to go well with the Yammi receiver. I am not a big fan of Creative's sound, so, IMO, yes, it will be an improvement.
