I posted this in the bigpicturedvd forum, but I did not get any response. Sometimes in the background during mostly grey scenes there are slight vertical lines that appear. I have not noticed these in any place besides the background.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Thanks,

Andy

Do you think its banding? Have you tried a different source like HTPC or prog. DVD player? If you're using Prog. DVD player borrow a laptop and try HTPC. If you're using HTPC try a Prog. DVD player or use different video card (if Geforce try Radeon). I saw banding in my old LCD Sony VPL-CX1 which went away with HTPC. Have you calibrated your machine with Video Essentials or similar programs yet? Sometimes if your brightness, contrast, or sharpness is out of whack it can do this. Phase and clock may do the same--try adjusting them. Good luck.

That's only for RGB or HTPC input. Sorry I didn't know.
