Other than the non-PC type of interface, is there benefit to Theatertek over Cineplayer? What are the pros and cons of each?

I use a keyboard mainly with my HTPC, so Girder or other remote control access doesn't matter, only sound & video quality, plus any pertinent perks.

I own Theatertek now, and have since version 1.1, but don't know how the regular Cineplayer is.

Thanks,

Robert

CP and TT use the same filters. So you will see no difference in PQ. However UI is different. TT is more STB-like. CP feels more like "computer".

I would definitely suggest you upgrade to the newest filters (1.5.x) to achieve best PQ. My personal favorite is still TT. (I actually have licenses for both. However, during the last fresh system install I did not even bother to install CP again. YMMV..)

TT uses the absolute latest Sonic decoders and are usually updated more frequently than the Sonic player.

TT has a PQ advantage in that it can use ffdshow.
