There is an illegal version floating around. Good luck finding it. But if you want a legal evaluation version, you will have to get it through your work. That is, only if your place of work has valid dealings in the software/video/dvd market of some kind. And only then, you will probably have to trade something for it. Otherwise, buy it. I would hold off though. It seems way too buggy right now. Almost not even worth it. Almost. If you have an ATI board, you can pretty much get a version of it for free if you hold out a bit longer and wait for ATI to release a patched version of ATI DVD Player 5.x.
