Woo-hoo!
I've made a significant leap tonight, so this is a good spinoff point from these earlier blending threads...
My CRT Blending Attempt (John the Depot Dude)
Clarence's blending attempts
Edge Blending is HOT these days...I need help!
CRT Blending - The story so far.
My first partial success a few nights ago was this blend ( post , screenshot ) using a VPH1271 and a ECP3101 (I also did a ECP4101+ECP3101 setup and a VPH1031Q+VPH1031Q setup). But the overlap settings were screwed up and the center part of the screen ended up smoothly disappearing.
But today John received his Nvidia FX 3000 video card, so I promised to document the settings I was using. While documenting these settings, for some reason, IT WORKED! For the first time, the right projector and left projector are properly blended and are properly overlapped! This isn't a simple 50/50 split/join, this is a 32-bit 1920x768 image shared across two CRTs with a 128 pixel smoothly faded overlap!
I don't really know what I did differently on these settings than the permutations I've tried all week, but for some reason, while documenting these settings with screenshots for John, my blending overlap now works fine.
YES, BLENDING ACROSS 2 PROJECTORS WITH NVIDIA'S POWERWALL DRIVERS ON A QUADRO FX 1000 CARD IS WORKING!!!!!!
Now the bad news...
I'm on the road the next 2 weeks and we're moving during the 3rd week, so after tonight, my projectors will be down for at least a month!!!!
So John and Tedd, take these settings and carry the torch.
Time to set up my camera and take some screenshots.
