Link might be busy since it was slashdotted - try every now and then.

Was wondering if it can be used for CRT PJs, or if they can be made to be larger or not. Would be a cool setup though

From the article (RTFA):

Looking more like space-age satellite dishes the speakers stand an impressive 1.65m high by 0.92m wide by 0.72m deep. The whole system sells for £25,000 of which the speakers make up £9,999 of the price tag. They are driven by modified Lowther DX3's.

Eh. Those images suggest that the projected video is opague and have nice contrast, but common sense, physics and the description says the image is see-thru and the "blackness" suggested by those images is a complete fraud.

A rear projection system in a bright lit room like that will be nearly unwatchable, with the darkest available luminance level being equal to that reflected off the wall behind the device. What a stupid idea. Even for a bright digital I bet it looks washed out in nearly all daylight situations.

Edit:
Here you can find a video of the screen in action. I was right. It looks washed out. The image has no opacity. You can see right through the screen. What a useless technology!
