I am in the process of upgrading my 5.1 / audio system and have become interested in the Classe CAV-180, 5 channel, 180 W amp. This Amp is a bit older and has not been manufactured since 2004? I am wondering if it pays to invest $2K or so in a product of this vintage. I would appreciate hearing from owners that have auditioned / owned other products if they feel this Amp can still hold it's own against more recent offerings. Also it appears that this Amp does not have a remote trigger input, if it does please let me know.

to my recollection, the 180's had a problem running hot, classe did not carry them for long, good luck
panzer: thanks for the info. I have been hard pressed to find many pro reviews and I am hoping for an owner to provide an assessment.
