I started out with clips and furring strips. then I put a layer of OSB up, thinking it would make attaching trim and such easier. I was, of course, careful about making sure I hit the furring strips with fine threaded drywall screws.

now i'm getting set to do the green glue/layer of drywall phase. Do I need to make sure I hit the furring strips again, or are the screws that are already there holding up the OSB enough and I just have to make sure the drywall is firmly attached to the OSB?
