Hello to all, does you tube tv really keep all of your recordings for 9 months and not just some of them. The reason I'm asking is I tried it last year after Directv finally tried my patience with another hard drive failure. The problem was we would go to watch a show and it was no longer available, even though it had only been recorded 3 months earlier. This kept happening especially with CW and CBS shows. I've been waiting on Dish for a week to come and look at my Hopper 3 that died last Monday. The HD was 42% full so if I can't salvage my recordings I was looking to try you tube tv again, but only if my recorded shows would not keep disappearing. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

I have not run into issues with shows disappearing from the recording list. I think it only holds the most recent 2 or 3 instances of a show that repeats often, so that might presumably result in an older recording getting dropped in favor of a newer one. On occasion it will want to offer up certain episodes as On Demand (therefore with ads) rather than recorded -- I've not experimented to see exactly when this occurs but I think it has more to do with how the providers release the episodes. If it has really aired on a channel you have rights to, the recorded version will usually be selectable, just takes a few extra steps with the remote.
Thanks for the info. As I wasn't the account holder I couldn't call and question what was happening.
