In case anyone is interested in this player. I own one and I've been very pleased with the video quality of the progressive output. The jpeg capabilities are also very nice. This bad boy will play just about any Video DVD out there.

Strange Michael TLV hooked this unit up when he calibrated my Toshiba 65HDX82 the other week. While the resolution was much better than my Philips unit it displayed a flickering in the Avia resolution details when in Progressive Scan mode that wasn't there when it was in interlaced mode. My Philips unit gave a softer picture but there was no flicker in pro-scan mode...
