Based on a couple of early articles, I also think they are missing what might be the 'next big thing' in flat panel displays. i.e., carbon nanotube technology. Maybe a plasma killer, because they reportedly have the potential to be much cheaper as well as reproducing the PQ of CRTs. Probably two or more years off, and maybe the early word is just to get people to buy stock, but possibly exciting.

Hey Concept. Sure, I got that. They are describing the battle, though, for television share in the market. They make it sound like flat panel and traditional CRT are the only players. They don't give RPTVs any mention at all. Thought that was interesting since they describe the approx. 40" market as the big market to be in. Yet they also say that LCD can't get big enough, and plasma can't get cheap enough.
