Code 10 error: Realtek HD Audio R 1.66 (2.32) version 5.10.0.5404

Subject: Code 10 error: Realtek HD Audio R 1.66 (2.32) version 5.10.0.5404
I have tried to reinstall this over and over until I am sick! How do I completely uninstall it so it can be reinstalled properly? I have done two clean installs in the last two days and am sick of it.
I have Realtek HD Audio R 1.66 (2.32) version 5.10.0.5404 that needs to be reinstalled on my computer. It will not reinstall and I get a code 10 if I put it in Add Hardware (Control Panel). The driver is not working properly. I have Windows XP sp3. But I have had it installed when I did a fresh or clean install of windows and then it worked properly, then. Apparently it was not completely uninstalled before I reinstalled it. How do I completely uninstall it so it can be reinstalled properly. I have a M2A-VM ASUS mother board but ASUS can't really help me.
