I've installed the shark007 with the x64 pack. I am trying to play mkv files in windows 7 media center, most work but some have alot of green pixels all over and is unwatchable. If I open it with vlc player it plays fine is there something i need to install or fix in the options to get all of the files to play in Windows 7 media center where i like to watch them. Any help would be great thanks

Using the current release versions 2.3.7 for 32bit and v241 for the x64 addon, open the x64 settings application, Press Reset All, then at the bottom of the x64 settings application is a checkbox for suggested settings, check it. If you use S/PDIF audio, go to the Audio TAB and choose to use FFDshow passthough. For anolog speaker output, your windows configuration is detected and used so if it is set wrong on the Audio TAB, it is also set wrong in Control Panel / Sound. If that doesnt fix it , i would suggest you need to update your graphics drivers.

I wish. Tried that hours ago
I can get these files (which are SKy caps with

h264 extenstions) to play with Total Media Extreme and MPCHC, no problem. I cannot get WMP to play them no matter what I do/try.

On the Misc TAB of my settings application are some tools. Try the render tool. let me know if it plays in that tool, then use the tool below it to analyze the file, post those results here and I can take a better shot at telling you what setting you need to get it to play.

Thanks Shark007 that worked great. One more question if you don't mind. For some reason my files are getting switched to i think media player film looking files. Because of this the pictures of my movies are not showing in windows media center. The pictures were there at first but now i go into media center and the movies i have watched are now not there. Any clue?

Your observation of this superfluous technicallity on my part (posted from a state of sleep depravation as it was after midnight here) is correct vladd although when it comes to decoding media content all mpeg2 transport stream derivitives are handled equally so the extension is of no real consequence as depicted by the users issue being properly resolved.

Hi Shark007 i did the rebuild library but now all my files have switched to the black film looking file which for some reason my media center does not let me link the picture to it. But if it was back to the white looking file with a music note then the media center would play my picture in my video library. Any other ideas or maybe i did it wrong. thanks

I have no idea exactly how your computer is setup to display pictures etc. The Rebuild Library option simply deletes the current database and rebuilds it using the settings you have provided through the Windows Media Player interface. I would suggest reviewing all possible settings concerning these picture displays and attempting a new rebuild afterwards.

lol. Yeah, I know that it really doesn't make much of a difference. I was just checking for my own sanity and making sure I was reading the media info correctly (it was 3 a.m. when I posted).

Just curious if anyone has any tips for my codec issues, I am using the latest version of Shark007 as well. I run MKV's fine but it seems like most of my movies after about 30-1hr the movie starts to skip. If I restart WMC and scrub the timeline to where the file skipped it normally works. Any suggestions?
