codec problems

just recently bought a hauppauge hvr-1600 tuner card. after install of win tv 6 (trying to get qam channels...only get black screen) so i gave up on that and downloaded sage tv 4.6. now when i watch dvd instead of my Nvida platnium decoder witch gave me dd, dts and all that good stuff..i have some other ac3 codec running wich sounds ok but i still want dts. anyone know how to make it go back to the nvida ones?
