Hi. I searched the forums here and even the official CM: D site (even the message board part) but could not find the answer. Does anyone know if the PS3 will have "Time" online play like the 360 ver.? When I went to the official site I did not see the PlayStation Online Network logo next to the PS3 logo (however, I did see the [Xbox] Live logo.

Will it be to early for me to ASSume the PS3 ver. will not have online play? I know nothing is guaranteed in life, I can just see it. I go out and buy a 360 for this game (and GoW of course), then find out the PS3 ver. has online/"is" better somehow.

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

Hi amon 37. Your right about the 360 ver. not going to have online play against other people. Sorry, should have made that clear to anyone. Its going to be a Time thing.

Didn't think abput searching the 360 CM : D forum thread again before posting this question. I'm headed (back) over there again. Well, which ever one of us comes "up" with the question to my answer first, thanks for your help anyways.

I found it here in the Forza/DIRT bad new thread:

Quote:
2. Colin McRae bad news: Found on the IGN forums:

Poster 1: pretty sure it's just against times. you race against up to 100 people at the same time, the times are updated through checkpoints during the race to see where you stand but you won't encounter other vehicles.

Poster 2: Yes you are correct on the latest gamespot uk podcast they confirm this is the case, there is no competitive multi-player ie, in the same race on screen

if you've ever watched a real rally race, it's just how they do it. it's way too dangerous to run side by side, and a lot of times the courses are only big enough for 1 car to get through.

i like it, but i'm a diehard real rally fan. motorstorm is fun, but that is not WRC.
