Hello,

I am curious which colorimeter is appropriate for LED backlight panels.

Anyone has an idea?

Probably some colorimeters are not good for LED backlight, only good for CCFL, right?

Hi voyager2010,

You'll need to purchase Calibration software with the snappin Tables for LED backlighting. The two popular ones are CalMAN and Chromapure . Both softwares have an option when purchasing to include LED support. As SierraMikeBravo said. Best to buy a spectroradiometer. The cheapest which you can purchase as a bundle with CalMAN is the enhanced Colormunki. Very reliable and accurate, I'm please with mine.

The CalMAN X2 has a mode for LED-LCDs as does the Chromapure i1 Display 2 PRO. A spectro could be better but will be significantly more expensive.

In am in the same boat as far as going with a colormunki or an X2. Can someone quantify the level of accuracy we are talking about between the two? Will you noticed the difference after calibration between those two meters?
