Originally posted by JOprandi I live in Newark and WBNS is the only station that I can receive with an antenna in my attic. I would think that you would be able to receive the Dayton CBS affiliate if you live on the West side. I have tried e-mailing WCMH, WSYX, and WTTE asking how soon they would be transmitting and they never responded back. I am not very hopeful when it comes to SYX and TTE they are owned by the Sinclair group. |
Originally posted by MAX HD Hi all, This thread seemed rather timely to me ,so I thought I'd respond. I've been trying to nail WBNS DT-21 for over two years and finally succeeded last evening on a good tropo opening to the east(137mi.).Tried to get 41 in Dayton, but no luck. Are they on low power? All analogs from Dayton last night were crystal clear. The furthest station received was WNPB in Morgantown,WV.(305mi.) |
Originally posted by MAX HD Iwant_______now, I punched in 43201 zip code at Ardmann site and it shows 68mi.You would most probably have to use a pre-amp for UHF.That could be a problem for you, being close to Columbus tansmitters(overloaded pre-amp). If you want to try,I would suggest a CM 4228,mounted high-30ft.,or more,if possible, and use RG-11 coax without a pre-amp.If this doesn't work, try a pre-amp such as a Winegard AP4700.It's gonna be a crapshoot, but you never know! Pericles, You should be able to get DT-41,you're right next door to Dayton. What do I use? Oh,nothing special. DTC-100 RG-11 coax CM 7777 pre-amp Winegard PR-5030 VHF Blake DY28A Double Yagi 18.3db gain UHF 60ft.Aluminum Crank-up tower No wife to tell me "you're insane"! |
