Comcast DVR to DVD recorder?

I have everything hooked up and can get video, but no audio on screen. I have the Motorola DCT6412 hooked up to a GoVideo DVD recorder using an S-video cord. The Motorola box doesn't have a second "audio output" so I bought an optical cord, still nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You say you bought an optical cord. But what did you do with it?

Tried connecting it from the Comcast Dvr box to the DVD recorder, but there is still no sound. No matter how I run the DVR through the DVD recorder, I can't get sound.

No DVD Recorder has digital audio input (unless you count DV over FireWire).

You need to run the White/Red RCA connections from the STB to the DVD Recorder.

Sir, you are my hero. I just said to someone earlier that I was making this more complicated that it was. I started over and realized I was using one set of rca jacks too many. Thanks for the help.
