What channels in HD are offered? Will ESPNHD and INHD cost me extra on top of the $5 for the set-top box? Is the quality in Sacramento good?

And will comcast give me component cables to hook up the HDTV or will they use composite?

Component cables were included as part of the install.


AFAIK ESPNHD and INHD are offered as part of the digital packages (specifically digital basic and above).


I have no complaints about the quality, but I do not have anything to compare against.

So if I order just the HDTV box from comcast i wont get ESPNHD and INHD? I will need to also order the basic digital package?

You mean adding HDTV to an existing analog cable package ? From what I have read here, you may get them right now, but do not expect to keep them without upgrading to one of the digital packages.

Thanks for the help... I am having the technician come out here Tuesday. I hope i get ESPNHD.
