i ordered comcast tripple play without dvr as will get later my question is the digital converter or reciever what ever is the device does the device has a usb port so i can record thru a usb?

nope. it will most likely have firewire, which you could stream to a d-vhs software on your computer, but i'm pretty sure comcast blocks those ports anyway.
