Next week Comcast will install cable and HDTV in my surburban Chicago home. Should I run out and buy a DVI cable or hasn't Comcast enabled this function as of this time? If I do have to use component cables what expectations should I have regarding PQ? Finally, if and when I do go ahead and buy the DVI cables, are Monster's DVI 400 for $100 worth the hefty premium over Pacific Cables DVIDL-2 for $18.00?

I have Comcast in Baltimore County. The DVI port is not enabled at this time and I'm not aware of any rumors about when it will be.

Other people have noted that since DVI is digital, a cheaper set of cables will work since the TV only has to sense the presence of the bit.

I've got Comcast in Delaware and recently got a new HD decoder with the DVI port on the back. Nobody at Comcast seemed to know a thing about when it would be made functional. I was hoping there would be some answers on here.
