The perfect(?) material for light traps, screen maskings and bat-caves? I wonder how much todays projectors and HTs would benefit from this stuff...

Is the material actually in production? The better question would be how much to produce the material in commercial quantities for the HT masses?
The first time I read about this material was a Little over a year ago. it's possible that they might be nearing production. supposedly it can be used in large sheets.
Hmmm, maybe this is what the Monilith was made from
, it didn't reflect light either.

I think the best place for this would be the light dump/sink in DLP projectors. In this application, only a small amount of material would be needed.

I heard one of these scientists being interviewed on NPR while driving home from work the other day. Of course, this was my first thought as well.

Exactly,

The other possible use would be for screen boarders so that you have a perfect cropped image. Normal dark (not even black) paint will work fine for other HT uses.

I wonder if it comes in bodypaint.

I'd like to make myself invisible...

PS Unfortunately, I'd need a "Borat" size censor bar!
