Yes, a 3D BluRay player such as the 220 will work just fine with a non-3D display. Just bear in mind that the 2D-to-3D conversion won't work without a 3D display (one poster a few months ago was puzzled why it didn't work with his 3D player/non-3D display).
Thanks very much for the reply BillP! I knew that without a 3D TV I wouldn't see Blu Rays in 3D. 3D isn't really a priority. I simply liked the other features and that player has Internet connectivity.
I am in no hurry. I may find another model without the 3D capability. I am just starting to research it and wanted advice. Thanks so much!
