Are the monster brand xbox component cables actually better than the MS brand component cables? I have the Ms ones now, and I'm alittle underwelmed by there performance. I have NFL 2k5 and for some reason it appears more "jaggy" on my new sony 55WF than it did with composite cables on my 27" JVC Flat screen CRT.

Which cables are better can start "fist fights" on the AVS forum, so duck if the sparks start to fly.

I can't talk to your specific game, but in general, there is a chance that your pretty game with composite cables won't look as good with clear, crisp component cables. Sometimes there are jaggies, or weird pixelizations that are small enough not to be really noticed with composite cables. However, when you see every detail with your component cables, those little nuances are clearly visibile. This happens on Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, and DVD's (although early PS2 games are usually the worst offenders).

I hope this helps a little.

I can speak to that specific game, it's a jaggy festival, and I have pretty nice component cables. (I built some).

Better component cables won't make a difference. You went from a 27" tv to a 55" tv, thats why you see the jaggies. Turn the sharpness on your tv down - this may help a little.
