I have a question about Component connection and the Playstation 2. I am currently using an NTSC 12 year old TV and S-Video connection with the PS2. But tomorrow I will be getting a 32" Samsung Flatscreen HDTV. I was wondering if there will be any appreciative difference from using S-Video connections or Component on the new HDTV?

I bought a playstation used it for a few weeks and then took it back. Graphics being interlaced and constrained by too little video memory were to say the least, disappointing. The component output was extremely poor quality. Very poor contrast resulting in a dark muddy image. Ended up sticking with S-Video until I got rid of the offensive piece of machinery and got a Dreamcast. Better graphics, progressive out(with adapter),games(new and used) at half the cost. Yes, I know the Dreamcast is dead and game development is near at a halt. Just couldn't resist the price. But I do miss Twisted Metal, great game!
