Component Switching/Passthrough on 1014

343 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Ja Phule
I know this has to be a stupid question, but I cannot seem to get the component switching to work with assignable component video 1 and 2. I have been able to get the component switching to work when feeding s video or a composite signal, but cannot get it to work with component in and then component out. Is there something I need to do? I have tried both assignable inputs: 1 and 2 and clicking the respective video 1 or video 2.

Please help as I'd like to hook up my dvd player and xbox into my 1014 before feeding my PJ!

Bump

I am having the same issue. I cannot get the component out of the receiver to work with an Infocus 4805 projector. I enabled component input 1 with DVD/LD, and hooked the dvd player up with component to the receiver. The dvd player works when directly connected to projector, and s-video works from the receiver to the projector with x-box. I just cannot use the component out on the receiver. Any advice?
Stiltz,

Component inputs 1 and 2 are not assigned to Video 1 and Video 2 on the receiver, automatically. The component inputs are assignable by going into the receiver setup menu where you can assign component 1 and 2 to dvd/ld, tv/sat, video1, etc.
longshot,

I'm using the 1014 with my 4805 just fine. Be sure to go into the receiver setup menu and assign component 1 to dvd/sat. Be sure you have your connections set up right (ie, dvd player connected to component 1, not 2, and that that component 1 is assigned to dvd/ld).
