Here's a newbie question:


I'd like to feed my CRT projector with RGBHV, I have a DIY component to HD15 cable that worked great with my old digital projector but doesn't seem to work into the RGBHV inputs into the CRT.


When I feed this into the projector right now all I get is the green image, not sure why the cable isn't working...

Yes you need a transcoder. Your old projector had component inputs on the VGA port. Very very few CRT projectors have component inputs as an option.

I thought there was a way to build a cable that could split out the H/V sync and feed it to the CRT?

There is, but you still need a transcoder for the video.
