I just got a BenQ 6200 and a Momitsu V880. The 6200 has a VGA input that I can run the component output from my Momitsu into. Unfortunately I just called around town and no stores have a component to VGA cable. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to a type or where I could find a nice one. I'll need one also that has a bit of length (I'm guessing between 2 and 3 meters). Any help you can provide is much appreciated. Thanks.

By the way, they'll send you a catalog for free if you ask them. The catalog has more stuff in it than what is on the website. They probably have at least two other brands of VGA-component cables in the catalog. Call and ask for information or just get the new catalog if you're not in a hurry.

Why not just get a DVI-I to VGA adapter and then use a VGA cable from there to the projector? Both should be available from any mom & pop computer store

What CRT forum are you talking about lovebohn? I did a search for the id Chuckuf but didn't come up with anything.

I own the same DVD player. You can buy a passive DVI to VGA adapter for about $20 at any computer/cable internet store...much cheaper than a new cable.


The other issue is I think you would actually need a component to VGA transcoder inbetween the the component cable and VGA cable...so you would run a component cable from the DVD player into the transcoder, then a vga cable out from the transcoder to the projector.
