What is the best way to convert component out of a progressive scan dvd player (in this case a Panasonic CP72) to the VGA (R B G H V) input of a crt projector (NEC XG110 LC)?

I have seen the Audio Authority converter for $160 or so.

Are there other solutions that I have not found that would be better. or less expensive. It seems odd to spend $160 to use a $160 DVD player. Maybe there is a better player with VGA out for $320 or less??

I have been reading many good things about the Panasonics progressive scan output and that is why I chose it to replace a Pioneer Elite DV-05.

Maybe there is a Component in card for the NEC?

Any and all advise is welcome, thanks.....

The A.T. converter sounds like the best bet. Or use a line doubler to convert the component signals to RGBHV signals (not VGA)

Im not sure if there are cards for NEC units?

I'm currently using a DVDO line doubler from S-Vid in to RGBVH but wouldnt I get a better picture using the Progressive output into the projector? If not, I should stick with the DVDO and the Pioneer Elite DV-05
