I have a Proscan 36" HDTV that supports progressive scan at 420p or 1080i but ONLY on it's 25pin RGB inputs (the component input does not accept a progressive scan signal). I've verified with my DISH 6000 that the RGB input does display a 1080i signal.

Are there any mid-range DVD players out there that have an RGB out?

If not, what are my choices in converting component to VGA AND is there a tremendous quality loss when doing so? I've seen the KD-CTCA2 from Key Digital Systems for $279. Does anyone have experience with this device? It's killing me having a hi-def digital tv and not being able to display a progressive scanned signal.

Thanks!

You mean a 15-pin connector? Audio Authority, is one source of adpaters, www.audioauthority.com. Extron, www.extron.com may be another. I have a VGA to 5 BNC Extron wire laying around somewhere. I have seen the adapters like the Audio Authority for about $129.
