I have a Benq 6100 projector mounted on my ceiling with a 50 foot vga cable connected to a vga switch. This works perfectly when I am in VGA mode attached to my laptop. However when I switch to Component RGB with my Nintendo Wii I run into trouble.
When I boot up my Wii the projector syncs with the input signal and displays the video. But after 5 seconds the signal seems to deteriorate and then the projector looses sync and does not show a signal. I used both a VGA to component rgb cable and then custom soldered a VGA end onto the Wii Component cable. Could it be loosing sync because I have the power cable running alongside the VGA? I'm really stumped on this one.
